This is a special edition Favorite Promo Emails post. April Fools day is not my favorite holiday but it is a fun opportunity for marketing. As you will see below, 2019 was a strange year for this holiday as far as my inbox goes.

My favorite for the year has to Build-a-Bear Workshop. As a single woman and a former Build-a-Bear Workshop employee, this hit me in just the right way for this time of year and blended right into the other dating app ads I am getting everyday from every direction.

Ok. So this one ended up being real. I took a screenshot. Thought to myself how absurd this photo was. And then realized I could order it and that there was a previous teaser email I had missed. Mama Mia.

Cute. Clever. Simple.

Honestly I wish I has had had more emails to sort through on this holiday. But ultimately many brands opted for a no joke email. Which in its own way is sort of hilarious.
